HABITUAL AND PREVENTIVE TEETH TREATMENTS
A. Dental Caries and the Caries Diagnostic
The caries represent the result of the enamel destruction due to the lack of
minerals and calcium and phosphate ions loss.
Caries Types:
a) Enamel caries – can be seen initially as a white spot which becomes
in time a flashing and a harsh one and in advanced cases becomes a dirty spot.
b) Dentine caries – it shows up as a result of the viruses’ invasion
and after the lack of minerals has appeared. The final result represents the
destruction of the enamel layer.
c) The root caries – shows up when the root is bare and gum is retracted.
The speed of caries formatting:
There can be big variations from case to case, sometimes the injury can regress.
Susceptible areas: are that areas where the dental
planch is accumulatedin big quantities. The volume and the saliva composition
may affect the predisposition to caries through the alkaline PH to the big debit
and because of the saliva components (calcium, phosphates, fluorine ions). The
saliva role is obvious especially to the patients with lack of saliva.
The diagnostic: The earlier the patient come, the
better is for you!
The regular checks are very important and the change of the dentist increases
the probability of obturations and we’ll need a re-examination of the
replacing criteria.
B. Ditch sealing
The main advantage is that the necessary dental tissue necessary for the obturation
material is minimum affected and in this way the tooth is not destroyed.
These forms represent the first stage of the caries formatting and a stringent
teeth check gives advantages to a prophylactic dentistry.
C.Teeth treatment with fluorine
Through the treatment with fluorine the process of minerals loss is stopped
and the process of regaining minerals at the precocious caries level is facilitated,
thus the enamel becomes resistant to the bad factors from the mouth cavity.
D.Bacteriological Planch and the dental caries
We must take into account the dental planch removal through ultrasonic or manual
scaling. It's also very important to have our mouth cavity cleaned with special
water for our mouth. Be aware of using mouth water for a long period of time
which can modify the taste and colour our teeth.
E.Sugar and diet advices
The caries are in particular given rise to by the sugar.
We also must take into account the aliments’ adherence and the acid character
of the aliments containing sugar which modifies their content through other
aliments which lead to a normal PH (eg salt nuts, cheese).
Be aware of mineral drinks which represent a high destructive danger.
PERIODONTICS
a)Dental planch - is the most frequent cause for
the root caries. The dental planch cannot be removed through teeth brushing
or through rinse. It causes gingivitis and is necessary to be removed from teeth.
b)Tartar - it represents the deposits existing on
teeth or on other hard structures and it forms itself through the deposits mineralized
on the planch. It may be found under or on the gum.
c)Chronicle gingivitis - it represents the inflammation
of the gum tissues and there are three types of gingivitis: edematose, hyperplasia
and atrophy.
The prevention of parodontal affection/ injury:
- The teeth hygiene and the regular check with your dentist for the caries treatment
and teeth scaling.
- Right and in due time brushing
- Teeth thread cleaning
The objective of the treatment:
- removal of parodontal pouch
- strengthening of alveolate bony support
- obtaining a mouth cavity easy to upkeep and maintain without dental planch
Scaling - through scaling we can remove the tartar
and the dental planch with mechanical or manual instruments. After the cleaning,
the teeth are burnished with a rubber machine and with a tooth paste with fluoride.
REPAIRING MEDICINE
Repairing medicine represents the part from dentistry that studies the affected
tissues restoration.
The patient cries due to teeth pain and this can be pulp pain, periapical pain
and a pain that is not due to teeth.
The pain is subjective and depends on each patient reaction.
The obturations may be with composite or with amalgam. Beside the composites,
composite and porcelain inlays are used too.
When the caries are located at the root of the teeth we can use with very good
results glass- ionomer cement.
If the caries have destroyed a major part of the dental tissues, a prosthetics
treatment can be applied to the teeth.
GERONTOLOGY
Through this dentistry branch our dentistry cabinet comes to greet the elder
people. At this age diseases appear and the therapy with medicines and the nedded
to be taken care of is needed.
In our cabinet the problems lied to the roots’ caries, the teeth wear
and total or partial lack of teeth is taken care of.
We are helping you by finding proper solutions for your problems through the
realization of dental deck from fictile material, partial and not fixed prothesis
and total dental prothesis
